The Reader Appreciation Project was launched a little less than two months ago. My have we grown. This post will cover some site news, what to expect in the future, and some stats coverage.

A New RA Project Author – Simonne Matthew

Simonne Matthew from All Tips and Tricks is RA Project’s newest author. Her first post will go live this Tuesday.

Simonne describes herself as a blogaholic who writes about all the tips and tricks that impress her the most. She writes in a smart, witty, and sometimes blunt & intrepid fashion. She will make a great addition to the RA Project team.

If you would like to know more information on becoming a regular author, or a one-time guest contributor, please leave a comment expressing interest or give us an e-mail.

New Design in the Works

As much as I like this theme, it simply has to go. I am currently working on a new design that will hopefully allow RA Project to grow tremendously and not be bursting at the seams as it is now. I currently have two paper mock-ups and hope to have some screenshots posted in a few weeks.

New Posting Schedule

With the addition of Simonne, the RA Project posting schedule will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. To stay up to speed on the project, please subscribe.

Anti-Spam Comment Measures

Last month after implementing our comment policy, I wrote about how I was trying to convince Bes to install an anti-spam plugin. Bes and I agreed to test out Bad Behavior combined with Akismet. So far only a few spammy comments have gotten through, so for now I consider the experiment a success. If your comment is being blocked for any reason, please let us know.

Posts/Comment/Feed Stats

There are currently 58 posts, and 619 comments. As of today, we have 21 feed subscribers. Why not make it more?

Plugin Stats

Technorati Stats

RA Project is currently ranked 21,286 with 408 incoming links. Our blog authority is 192. Most of the links have been due to our group projects and plugin releases.

If you feel so obliged, please add RA Project to your Technorati favorites.

Conclusion

RA Project has made a lot of progress over the last month with adding a new author, working on a new design, making some headway in the plugin world. Our articles are starting to get noticed as well. Please subscribe to our feed to be kept up to date.

    Congratulations, Ronald and Bes! Keep up the great work with RA Project. I really look forward to Simonne’s first Tuesday appearance and of course reading her at RA on a regular basis.

    Hurrah, now you just need to fill Thursday and Saturday time slots and I’ll be able to read RAProject every day of the week :-)

    Thanks Ronald for posting this. The RA Project has indeed started at a speed better than expected. Let us see what we can do in the coming weeks/months. ;)
