Do You Believe in Keeping Your Users Up to Date?

Imagine you announced to your blog readers that “Soon, there will be a new blog design here.” You do not need to mention any specific dates, though mentioning that announcements may make you think that you have promised your readers something.

Would you keep your blog readers updated regarding your blogging activities?

Now, as time passes, would you, in a hypothetical situation where you have a blog and you make the above announcement, keep your users updated on a regular basis on how that new blog design is coming along? Can you apply this principle to other things and figure out whether or not you would, or would like to, keep your users updated on anything you have publicly announced or planned, or hinted?

Please let me know what you think. Thank you.
