With the launch of RA Project in March of ‘07, we had a lot of ideas and goals for the project. Some of the ideas have turned into concrete products such as Ajax Edit Comments. Other ideas haven’t quite gone over well or were met with little fanfare.

Within this post I will be “thinking” out loud as to what goals I have for RA Project throughout 2008.

Comment Signature Plugin on Hold

Back in October I asked the readers here about having signatures in their comments. I wrote a good amount of code for the plugin, and then my laptop (which contained the code) was stolen.

I had backed up some of my code, but a lot of it was lost. My motivation to continue working on the plugin took a nosedive and I haven’t quite found it again.

My goal is to finish the plugin by the end of February or install something similar if a related plugin comes out before then.

Categories and Posts Plugin

I haven’t really touched this plugin since I first released it in March. Several readers have requested that I add some functionality to it, and I’ve kept putting it off. Although I don’t see when I might update this plugin, I know it needs it. As a result, I am open to someone else taking over this thing for development. If you are interested, please contact me and I’ll work on getting the plugin onto WP Extend so we can collaborate on it.

Ajax Edit Comments

There are quite a few features I would like to add to this plugin, I just am spread pretty thin with bug fixes and blogging. I am looking for someone to assist me in development. This person will help better secure the plugin, clean up the code, and help with bug fixes. Once again, if you are interested, please contact me.

Reader Appreciation Week ‘08

This year’s Reader Appreciation Week will be from April 14th through the 18th (Date TBD). I am excited and hope to hold a Skype or Talkshoe conference to discuss the details.

Another RA Project Redesign

I haven’t discussed a redesign much with Simonne or Bes, but there are a few WordPress themes out there that will better suit the project than the current one. I will post more details as I talk to the other project members about a re-organization of the front-end of RA Project.

More Guest Contributors and Contests

I personally would like to see more guest contributors and host some contests on this blog. I already have a few ideas for contests, and will try to be more proactive in asking for guest contributors for this blog.
