Three Ambitious Group Writing Projects YOU can Participate In NOW

I’m not trying to compete with our friend Jacob Share over at Group Writing Projects, but I wanted to bring your attention to three ambitious group projects going on right now that really need your help.

The type of bloggers running the projects are not your mainstream A-Lister type bloggers. These are bloggers like you and me hoping to give back to the blogosphere.

Presented below are three ambitious group projects in order of the deadline.

Graphic Design Group Writing Project

The Graphic Design Group Project is ambitious in the fact that there are so many incentives all coming from a grassroots sponsorship campaign.

Purpose: To bring all the design freaks, graphic design blogs and people who subscribe to them a bit closer together.

Deadline: Tuesday 4th of March.

Incentives to Contribute: Too many to name. There are over $5000 in prizes from sponsors that are legit (several are readers here).

What to Write About: Advice, tips, resource lists, tutorials, or whatever, as long as it pertains to ‘Graphic Design’.

Social Media Mega Project

The Social Media Mega Project is another ambitious project uniting 10 bloggers from all around the world to run a social media group writing project.

Purpose: Ten bloggers throughout the world organize and host their own Group Project dedicated to the chosen social media site(s).

Deadline: Saturday, March 22nd

Incentives to Contribute: Links, links, and more links. The opportunity to learn new social media sites, and giving back to the community.

What to Write About: Your experience with various social media sites. Please see the Social Media Project page for more details.

Peeve Week 3

Ok, so I admit I have a bit of a bias with Peeve Week 3 since it is being hosted here on RA Project, but Peeve Week 3 is another ambitious group project since it entails the collaboration of twenty-five unique bloggers onto one blog for one week. An e-book will also be created and distributed at the end of the week for all of the project entries.

Purpose: Twenty-five bloggers weighing in on various ‘Peeve’ topics.

Deadline: Friday, April 4th

Incentives to Contribute: Chance for a prize (worth at least $50 pending sponsors), a free e-book to distribute, a new audience, and links.

What to Write About: A peeve over one of these topics: WordPress, SEO/Make Money Online, Web Development/Design, Social Networking (yes, you can use your contribution for the social media project), and Blogging.

Conclusion

Throughout this post I highlighted three ambitious group writing projects that you can take part in right now.

The projects I mentioned were:

Ronald, thanks so much for the double promotion - mentioning of Social Media Mega project in this post and advertising it on RA Project’s sidebar!

I’ve had lots of fun participating in your Peeve Week 2, and I’ll do my best to contribute as much as I can to Peeve Week 3.
I like the idea of including Social Media topic to the list of peeves (you didn’t have it last year, did you?) and that the contributions to this topic can be used in my Social Media Mega Project.

Even though all three of those projects are coming not from the mainstream blogs, in my opinion, they are much more interesting than most of the ones run by A-listers.

    Good luck to everyone!

    Hi Ronald,

Thanks for the link up and promotion, good luck in the contest and to all your readers. I will also write a peeve story that is valid both for your contest and Viviens project ;)

    Cheers,
    Jacob

    @Jacob Cass,
There’s a web design/development category in Peeve Week, so that’s another possibility since yours has to deal with graphic design. Would you like me to put you down for a design slot? I’m going to “try” to write for yours, but it might be more on usability/design rather than graphics. I hope that’s good enough :)

    @Vivien,
The topics for Peeve Week 3 are more for a “technical” and blogging audience. The PW2 topics were slightly geared towards those not familiar and dealt with more “offline” stuff. Would you like me to go ahead and put you down for a social media slot?

Yes of course that would be fine… look forward to it.
Sure thing regarding the design slot, could you kindly email me the details? :)
    Jacob
