Ajax Edit Comments 2.0 RC2
After some feedback and a feature request, I’ve decided to release a second release candidate for those who have the time to play with it. You can read more about Ajax Edit Comments on the brand new (and constantly updating) Ajax Edit Comments 2.0 page. Please keep in mind this is a Release Candidate. In other words, it’s stable, but may not be stable enough for a live blog.
Here are some things I changed in this RC:
- I added inline event calls as opposed to unobtrusively adding them in. This may seem like a step backwards, but the plugin crashes browsers if there are several hundred comments on a post. Removing the unobtrusive approach allows for less client-side processing.
- I added an advanced feature that allows admin to disable the plugin’s stylesheets. If that is done, the admin will have to style the plugin himself.
I’m still having slight issues with Internet Explorer 6. Sometimes the comment will load, sometimes not. Anybody else having the same problem?
Please leave any feedback in the comments section, or fill out our support form. I will allow test comments here, but please be aware that they will periodically be removed.

Please see the official Ajax Edit Comments 2.0 for the latest plugin information. I will update that page as I have time and the official release nears.
For now, here’s a direct link to Ajax Edit Comments 2.0 RC2.
