Another Reader Appreciation Plugin: WordPress Keyword Luv

What better sign that bloggers do care about their readers can be more eloquent than the increasing number of plugins which reward readers for being part of blog communities?
Some reader appreciation plugins offering direct benefits: Top Commentors or Last comments, or Ajax Edit Comments fall into this directly rewarding category.
Some other plugins offer indirect benefits, which are rather meant to help readers as bloggers, by offering them a small SEO help. This category includes the Do Follow and Comment Luv plugins, which are some of the “most hunted” and “most searched for” and which (especially the Do Follow) sometimes make people sign their comments with “purple lamp post” or “white beans soup with noodles”, or other thoroughly researched keywords.
Thanks to Stephen Cronin, the conversation between lamp posts, noodle soups and camping flashlights is coming to an end: The Keyword Luv plugin allows commenters to input both their name and their desired keywords, the backlink to their blog being anchored on the keywords, and not on the name, as it was before.

Comments is on great thing to receive on your blog, adding the dofollow plugin is one way to reward people for commenting.

Nice post! In fact I have recently started using keyword luv in order to promote my blogs and I do feel that its a good idea. Almost all my blogs with keyword luv are doing well in terms of page ranking on the search engines. thanks
The plugin design idea is indeed a great way which not only helps the webmaster but also the commentator. It has advantages to both the parties. I have personally got the benefits of adding KeywordLuv to my blogs. Based on my personal experience it really helps in attracting more visitors to our blog.
I think it is a double edged sword, you may get more spam but you’ll get more traffic too. I suppose its up to the writer if it is worth it or not.
Comment luv and keyword luv is the best combination plugin ever.. I also enjoyed it in my blog and its really good on pulling fresh new traffic… I love these plugin, its really an awesome stuff.. The do follow features also is the best ever… Thanks for the luv!!

I learned about this Comment luv and keyword luv just recently and it is indeed a good plugin. Blog should never be disallowed since it is one way getting their readers reaction about the topic that they have posted on their blogs. They can enable moderation though to lessen spam. For me, it’s a win win situation.

I installed the KeywordLuv plugin tonight and the documentation said I had to install a DoFollow plugin specifically. Maybe new information.
you get tons of spam.. and the extra readers aren’t returning readers because they are only posting for the link
Thanks for adding these great plugins to your site! I’ve added them to my sites as well and have seen great results. They are a great way to bring people to your blog and benefit the posters at the same time so everyone wins! The only problem I’ve encounter is the occasional spammer. However, Askimet with WP has done a pretty good job of keeping them under control. Thumb’s up to the developers!

I’m only looking for basic instructions on how to change some of these things. I noticed that there is a menu that looks a bit like MS Word. However, there are a few things that I cannot find. Do you know of a written instructional document that I can use to make some basic changes to WP?
